SERP snippet preview
See how your title and meta description will look in Google — measured in pixels, the way Google cuts them off — on desktop and mobile.
About search snippets
Google cuts titles and descriptions by how wide they are on screen, not by how many characters they have. “WWW” takes far more room than “iii”, so a 60-character title can fit or be cut depending on its letters. This tool measures the text at Google’s font sizes in your browser.
Up to about 600 pixels on desktop — usually 50–60 characters. Put the words that matter most first, so they survive if Google trims the end.
Up to about 960 pixels on desktop (roughly 150–160 characters) and less on mobile. Lead with what the searcher gets and a reason to click.
Google rewrites many titles and descriptions — often when they are missing, too long, stuffed with keywords or don’t match the search. Accurate, specific snippets are rewritten less often.
No. The preview runs entirely in your browser. Only the “Fetch” button contacts our server, to read the title and description from the page you enter.
