Custom Menus

Custom Menus can be accessed by going to CMS -- Custom Menus in the top menu.

This section allows you to add custom menus that can be used on any page. You can add any number of menus as required.

To add a new custom menu, click on the “Add New” button at the bottom of the Custom Menus table.

The fields available under this section are explained below:

General Information

Show Title – If you enable this option, the title of the custom menu shows up wherever it is used.

Title – This is the title of the custom menu

Name – This is the name of the custom menu, used for reference.

Notes – This field can be used for reference to describe the custom menu. This field will not be displayed on the website.

Clicking on the “Add” button adds the new custom menu to the system and you will be re-directed to the listing page which displays a list of all your custom menus.

You need to then add Menu Items to you custom menu. You can do this by clicking on the “Edit Menu Items” link available beside the custom menu.

You will then have to click on the “Add Menu Item” button. The fields available in this section are explained below:

You have 2 tick-box options which control the visibility of this menu item for logged-in or not-logged-in users.

General Information

Title – This is title of the menu item as it will appear on the website (Example: Basket, Shipping, My Account, etc.).

Parent Item – You can add a menu item as a sub-menu of a parent by using this option. If you have already created any menu items for this custom menu they will appear in this drop-down list so you can define a parent for the new menu item.

Menu URL – You will need to specify the target URL of the menu item in this field. This could be a relative link (such as basket.html) or an absolute link (such as www.mysite.com/contact.html).

Order – If you have already added menu items for this custom menu they will appear in this drop-down list, allowing you to choose the position of the new menu item as required.

Open – You can specify the option of opening the target for this menu item in the same window or in a new window.

Images

Active/Non Active Image – You can show an image for both active and non-active states of your menu items.

Active/Non Active Prefix Image – These fields can be used to assign prefix images (such as arrows, etc.) to both active and non-active states of your menu item.

Please Note: The above image fields have “Upload Image” and “Select Image” links to upload an image from your PC or select a previously uploaded image from the server.

Clicking on the “Add” button adds the menu item to your custom menu and takes you to the listing page which shows all menu items. You can edit/delete any menu item by clicking on the “Edit Item” link beside it.
