New AdWords Interface Available
Printer FriendlyTell a Friend
Author: James Lees
Google have been testing their new ideas for the interface on AdWords and have finally made a beta version available to US and UK advertisers.

Since November 2008 Google have been testing their new interface which will supposedly allow easier navigation, easier campaign management and faster and clearer usage for all advertisers.

Some of the features they’re working on include, performance graphs that’ll help you spot trends on every campaign management page, insight across ad groups which will focus on high impact areas of your account; you’ll also be able to see and edit keywords, placements and ads all from one tab rather than multiple pages or tabs. Other features include in-line editing which will allow you to change settings such as keywords or bids within one page.

The whole idea is to allow for easier content management and campaign management. Another brilliant feature is the network management improvements which allow you to use a Networks tab to look at statistics and set unique bids for placements. You’ll also be able to view reports regarding your ad placements and where your ads have appeared.

You can learn more by watching online videos of the new interface in action. You can also sign up for the beta program to start using the interface by going here http://www.google.com/adwords/newinterface/.

Overall, Google are trying to make things easier for their advertisers and it appears as though the improvements in the beta AdWords interface really do improve usage and navigation. As usual, Google are reminding users and advertisers that all ad groups and campaigns will still work in the same way they always have and nothing to do with the ad running will change at all.

As always with beta testing, not all AdWords features are currently supported in the beta version. However, you can switch between the current and beta versions of the AdWords interface in order to use all the Google AdWords features such as reports and tools.
