Interview with Sales Consultants Roxanne and Fergus As promised, in 2009 we are gradually going to introduce you to other members of the Sayu team and we are starting with our sales team

We introduced you to our sales manager Chris. Now we will introduce you to two of our new recruits, Roxanne and Fergus

In this interview Roxanne and Fergus explain what their job role entails, what attracted them to the role and what they find interesting working in this field.

1. What 5 words best describe you?
Roxanne - optimistic, competitive, fun, diplomatic, driven
Fergus - Honest, reliable, determined, enthusiastic, assertive

2. What does your job role entail?
Roxanne - Selling a solution which gets the client better value for money and more relevant enquiries to their website
Fergus - Informing business decision makers of the ways in which they can maximise the money they spend online and make better use of the internet.

3. What decisions do you have to make?
Roxanne - Whether we can help a client with their website or not
Fergus - I have to decide if Sayu can actually help a business and if it's in both of our interests to form a working relationship.

4. How long have you been working at Sayu?
Roxanne - A month and 4 days
Fergus - 1 month

5. What did you do previously?
Roxanne - worked in sales at a radio station
Fergus - I worked at a competitor of Sayu's

6. What attracted you to the role at Sayu?
Roxanne - The experience of selling online advertising solutions – learning more about online advertising
Fergus - It's professionalism, it's reputation in the industry even though it's a small company and the after sales care, something that was lacking at my old job

7. What advantages do you find with working with a small company?
Roxanne - Everyone seems to know each other better
Fergus - I know that any queries my clients have will be dealt with, and the atmosphere is stronger in the office than at a larger company

8. What’s the most rewarding part of your job?
Roxanne - When someone says yes – it's the best word in sales! And getting results for the client
Fergus - helping show individuals the best way of investing their money, important in todays economic climate.

9. How do you wind down after a busy day at work?
Roxanne - Glass of wine!
Fergus - The gym or a couple of cheeky pints

10. What do you feel you can bring to the Sayu team?
Roxanne - A few laughs!
Fergus - A degree of experience and a knowledge of how competitors in the industry work

11. What are your likes and dislikes of the Internet Marketing industry?
Roxanne - Likes: fast results, quick turn arounds Dislikes: the cowboys that make our jobs harder.
Fergus - I like how easily accessable it makes information on businesses that you are looking to use. I dislike that there are so many cowboy organisations out there that it makes it difficult to convince people that you can help them when you work for a reputable company.

12. What challenges do you expect to find in your new role?
Roxanne - The effects that credit crunch has had on peoples advertising budgets!
Fergus - Convincing business to spend money in this current economic climate.

13. What do you feel drives a sales consultant on?
Roxanne - Money, acknowledgment and reputation.
Fergus - In this role, knowing that you are helping a business get more bang for their buck and i would have to be honest and say money

14. What do you feel makes Sayu unique to other companies within our market?
Roxanne - The way it was started and the relaxed atmosphere.
Fergus - Having worked for another business in the market I would have to say their honesty and the fact that they allow clients to come and visit them or be visited by a representative. Something that would never have happened at my old job.

15. What advice would you give to anybody looking to launch their company on the internet?
Roxanne - Contact Sayu for help and advice!
Fergus - Find a company you can trust and can build a good working relationship with as it's to easy to suffer at the hands of a cowboy organisation in this market.
